Chase Academic Foundation delivered a commanding performance to win the 12th Massy Distribution Under-18 School Football Tournament, thrashing Santa Rosa Secondary 6–0 in the final on Saturday evening at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Chase made a flying start, scoring just two minutes into the match through Dimani Hardy after being greeted by Minister within the Ministry of Sports, Steven Jacobs. The tournament’s top scorer and eventual Most Valuable Player then took control, netting a hat-trick in the 14th, 16th and 43rd minutes—two from the penalty spot—to hand Chase a 4–0 lead at half-time.
They maintained the pressure after the restart, with Onesi Dunn adding a fifth goal in the 48th minute before Mark Glasgow completed the rout in the 77th minute.
The victory marked a significant turnaround for Chase, who had lost to Santa Rosa Secondary in the 2023 final, going down 5–3 on penalties after a 3–3 draw. This time, however, they emphatically reversed that result to lift the title.
In the third-place playoff, West Ruimveldt Secondary defeated Charlestown Secondary 4–2 on penalties after regulation time ended goalless.
The tournament concluded with the official closing and prize-giving ceremony.
