A 28-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash at Manchester, Corentyne, on Friday night, leaving his pregnant wife and relatives mourning his sudden death.
Chatram “Tony” Bridgbasie, of Lesbeholden, North Corentyne, was riding his motorcycle along the Manchester Public Road at about 9 p.m. when he reportedly lost control and collided with a parked vehicle.
The impact reportedly threw Bridgbasie into the driving lane, where he was struck by oncoming traffic.
He sustained serious injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
Bridgbasie’s death has left his family struggling to come to terms with the loss.
Those mourning the loss include his wife who is pregnant with their second child.
His mother-in-law, Kavita Sukhram, described him as a loving and helpful member of the family whom she regarded as a son.
“Real good, real good. Me nah get none son and me like me son-in-law them so much,” she said.
Sukhram said Bridgbasie was deeply loved by the family and his sudden death has left a painful void.
