ANSA McAL Limited has appointed Troy Cadogan as Country Head for Guyana and Suriname, a newly established role effective Thursday, as the Group expands its presence in Guyana.

Cadogan will serve as the Group's senior representative in both countries and provide strategic leadership and support the coordination and development of its operations. He will report to the Group Chief Operating Officer.

ANSA McAL Group Chief Executive Officer Anthony N. Sabga III said the appointment reflects Guyana's importance within the Group's regional portfolio.

"Guyana remains a market of tremendous opportunity and strategic importance for ANSA McAL. As our investments and footprint continue to expand, it is important that we have dedicated leadership on the ground to strengthen collaboration across our businesses, deepen stakeholder relationships and help identify new opportunities for sustainable growth," he said.

Cadogan will work with government agencies, regulators, business leaders and community partners. He will also oversee stakeholder engagement, corporate reputation, government relations and business development for the Group in Guyana.

He has more than 25 years' service with the Group and most recently served as Head of External Affairs for Guyana and Managing Director of ANSA McAL Distribution Inc. (AMDI).

"I am honoured by the opportunity to serve in this new role and to continue contributing to ANSA McAL's growth journey in Guyana. I look forward to working closely with our businesses, employees, partners, customers and stakeholders to strengthen relationships, create new opportunities and ensure ANSA McAL continues to make a meaningful contribution to Guyana's development," Cadogan said.

ANSA McAL has operated in Guyana for decades across distribution, beverages, automotive, building solutions, real estate and media. Its Guyanese subsidiaries include AMDI, Guyana Breweries, ANSA Motors Guyana, ANSA Building Solutions Guyana, ANSA McAL Real Estate Sector and Mix 96.1 FM.
