Parents and pupils awaiting the results of the 2026 National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) can mark 10 July on their calendars, as Education Minister Sonia Parag has confirmed that the examination results will be officially released on that date.
In a message shared on Sunday, Minister Parag said the Ministry of Education had recently received confirmation of the release date and wanted to ease the anxiety being experienced by both students and parents.
The minister explained that the timeline for this year’s results differs slightly from previous years because Easter fell earlier on the calendar. As a result, pupils sat the NGSA examinations after the Easter break rather than before, pushing the usual schedule back by a few weeks.
Despite the adjustment, she noted that education officials have been working diligently to ensure the results are processed and made available as soon as possible.
Addressing the thousands of pupils who wrote the examination in May, Minister Parag commended them for their hard work and encouraged them to view the results as just one step in their educational journey.
She urged students to use their performance as motivation for future success, emphasising that the transition to secondary school marks the beginning of a new chapter that can lead to higher education and rewarding career opportunities.
Minister Parag also extended best wishes to students across the country preparing for end-of-term examinations, encouraging them to remain focused as they work towards advancing to the next grade level in the new school year.
