Caribbean Airlines has announced that effective November 2, 2025, it will discontinue services between Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In a statement released via Facebook, the airline explained that the move is part of its ongoing network optimization programme, aimed at ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of its operations across the region.
The discontinued flights include:
* BW 31 Kingston – Fort Lauderdale
* BW 30 Fort Lauderdale – Kingston
* BW 33 Montego Bay – Fort Lauderdale
* BW 32 Fort Lauderdale – Montego Bay

According to Caribbean Airlines, the decision follows a detailed review and was influenced by continued economic challenges affecting the Jamaica–Fort Lauderdale market. The airline stated that reallocating resources will help support its long-term goals of cost management, efficiency, and maintaining reliable services for customers.
Caribbean Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Martin Aeberli, emphasized the company’s continued commitment to Jamaica and the wider region.
“Caribbean Airlines remains steadfast in its mission to connect people and communities across the region and beyond. While adjustments to our schedule are sometimes necessary in response to evolving market conditions, our commitment to delivering a safe, reliable, and customer-focused service remains unchanged. We will continue to serve Jamaica and the Diaspora through other gateways within our network.”
Passengers with confirmed bookings for travel after November 1, 2025, are being contacted directly. The airline confirmed that affected customers will receive full refunds, with the process handled automatically whether bookings were made directly with Caribbean Airlines or through third-party agents.
Caribbean Airlines expressed appreciation to its customers for their understanding and loyalty, noting that the adjustment forms part of deliberate steps to strengthen operations and enhance the overall travel experience.
