
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, hosted the Budget 2026 Circular Sensitisation and Budget Preparation Training for constitutional agencies.
The engagement brought together Heads, Chief Executive Officers, and finance staff from across the agencies.
The training sessions focused on key areas including the budget cycle, strategic and medium-term planning aligned with constitutional mandates, the theory of change and performance indicators, digitalisation of services with a people-centred approach, and a review of budget forms in line with the Budget 2026 Circular.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance, Hon. Gail Teixeira, expressed gratitude to the agencies for their continued meaningful engagement in preparing their budgets.
She noted that the State, including constitutional agencies, must continue to maximise public resources for the benefit of all Guyanese while remaining transparent and accountable in the expenditure of public resources.
The sessions aimed to strengthen the capacity of constitutional agencies to plan and manage their budgets effectively, ensuring alignment with national priorities and enhanced service delivery to the public.
