The Honourable Minister of Education, Sonia Parag, on Monday afternoon officially commissioned the Foulis Learning Centre, a $27 million investment aimed at expanding access to educational and recreational opportunities within the community.

The newly opened facility has been designed as both a centre for learning and a hub for social interaction, recreation, and community building. It is equipped with a diverse collection of books, board games, and sporting equipment to encourage personal development, foster social bonds, and create safe spaces where residents can thrive.

As part of the commissioning exercise, Minister Parag also handed over three electronic tablets to the centre, providing digital learning tools to support knowledge building and skill development.

Minister Parag emphasized that education must extend beyond the traditional classroom. By investing in community-based centres, the Ministry of Education is ensuring that resources are accessible to all Guyanese, empowering them to pursue growth and lifelong learning.
