Police have launched an investigation into a physical altercation that occurred during a live social media broadcast between commentator Brian Max and Mikhael Rodrigues, known as the “Guyanese Critic.”

During the broadcast, Max was heard speaking condescendingly to Ossie Rogers, who was a guest in Critics studio. He questioned Rogers about an incident in which Rogers allegedly assaulted a woman in a supermarket two years ago. That matter, however, was never pursued. Rogers, in response, told Max that he should worry about himself.

At the time of the exchange, Max was reportedly at Critic’s studio to collect money on behalf of another individual or individuals. The situation escalated when Max hurled insults at Critic, prompting Critic to rise from his chair and slap Max. On impact, Max appeared to fall to the ground and was heard breathing heavily. Moments later, the live feed abruptly ended.

Subsequently, a photograph surfaced showing Max with a bloodied face.

Police have indicated that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
