KFC Guyana has opened a new restaurant on the Rosignol Public Road, its first in West Berbice, bringing the chain's network to 13 outlets.
The company said the restaurant is its first in the area and forms part of an expansion beyond Regions Three and Four.
KFC Guyana/Beharry Restaurant Operations Inc. Chief Executive Officer Paul Subryan said the opening reflects the company's confidence in Berbice.
"The opening of KFC Rosignol is about more than expanding our restaurant network. It represents our confidence in the continued growth and potential of Berbice and our commitment to bringing investment, employment and new opportunities to communities across Guyana," he said.
"We are particularly pleased to create opportunities for residents to develop their skills and build careers within our business, while making the KFC experience more accessible to families and customers in Berbice," Subryan added.
The restaurant will employ residents, who will be trained in food preparation, customer service, food safety and restaurant operations, the company said.
KFC Guyana also expects the investment to increase demand for local services such as transportation, maintenance and security.
The menu includes Original Recipe and Spicy chicken, along with combos, sides and desserts. The company said the restaurant is open to customers in Regions Five and Six.
KFC Guyana is operated by Beharry Restaurant Operations Inc., part of the Beharry Group, which acquired the brand in 2016.
