A 29-year-old French Guianese national wanted in connection with a murder investigation was arrested on Sunday at Lusignan Tarmac, East Coast Demerara, on an INTERPOL warrant.

Dane Langhorne, of Ann's Grove, East Coast Demerara, was held about 7:45am during a Police operation. He was escorted to the Cove and John Police Station and placed in custody.

On Tuesday, Langhorne appeared before Chief Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates' Court in connection with extradition proceedings under the Fugitive Offenders Act, Chapter 10:04.

After the information was read, defence counsel applied for bail, which was denied. The matter was adjourned to October 23.
