The 2027 Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo will feature Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley when the four-day event is held February 16-19 in Georgetown.
The conference will bring together government leaders, policymakers, industry executives, investors and entrepreneurs to discuss the future of energy, investment, infrastructure and sustainable development.
A release said Mottley's participation will add a regional perspective. It described her as a prominent voice on Caribbean economic development, regional integration, climate resilience, energy security and the financing needs of developing and climate-vulnerable states.
The event will run under the theme "Beyond Frontiers: Guyana's Energy Story". According to the release, it will examine Guyana's expanding energy sector and the opportunities created across the supply chain and other areas of the economy.
Organisers said additional speakers and programme highlights will be released in the coming days.
