Avinash Persaud produced the standout performance at the SBM Offshore Guyana Golf Tournament on Sunday, shooting the best gross score of 69 and a net 65 to win the Overall Best Net title at Lusignan Golf Club.

 

Persaud, playing off a handicap of four, also topped the 0–14 handicap flight, finishing four strokes ahead of second-place Jim Peck and Ravindra Harry, who both recorded net scores of 71.

 

Peck carded a gross 85 off a handicap of 14, while Harry finished with a gross 81 off a handicap of 10.

 

Kishan Bacchus won the higher-handicap flight with a net 66 after shooting 83 off a handicap of 17. Kevin Budram placed second with a net 68, while Oliver Dawns finished third on 70.

 

Budram recorded a gross 85 off a handicap of 17, while Dawns shot 95 off a handicap of 25.

 

Harry also won the Longest Drive prize, while Imtiaz Subhan took the Nearest to the Pin award.

 

The tournament attracted 43 golfers and featured players across a range of handicaps, combining competitive play with the social atmosphere associated with events at Lusignan Golf Club.

 

SBM Offshore Guyana supported the tournament as part of its engagement with the local sporting community.
