A 34-year-old fisherman was fatally stabbed at a house at Albion Front, Berbice, on Sunday night, police said.
Franklyn “Frank” or “Franky” Sauers, of Glasgow Housing Scheme, was found lying in the living room with stab wounds to his ribs and neck, police said.
He was rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A 28-year-old fisherman of Albion Front was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody as investigations continue, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation.
