Banks DIH Limited has launched a promotion offering more than $14 million in cash and prizes to consumers who purchase its Banko Wine products.

The “Uncap the Cash with Banko!” promotion runs until September 30 and gives consumers a chance to win instantly by checking under the caps of participating 750ml and 375ml Banko Wine bottles.

Cash prizes include $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000, while instant non-cash prizes include free 375ml bottles of Banko, free caps offering another chance to win, and Banko T-shirts.

Training/Communications Lead Sonya Forrester, speaking at the launch at the Thirst Park location on Thursday, said the promotion is a way of giving back to consumers for their support over the years.

“For many of us, we know Banko as one of Guyana’s indigenous products, and over the years we have benefited greatly from the support of consumers. And now we want to give them something exciting to look forward to when they uncap their bottles. Once you uncap your bottle, you will be able to see what your prize is and you will be able to redeem those at participating locations,” she said.

The promotion is available at participating locations across Guyana, including Banks DIH branches in Essequibo, Berbice, Bartica and Linden, as well as retailers in Thirst Park, along the East Bank and East Coast Demerara. Consumers can visit the company’s Facebook page for specific participating locations.

Wine Manager Oral Jones said the company is encouraging consumers to participate while observing the promotion’s rules.

“As we officially launch the ‘Uncap the Cash with Banko’ promotion, we invite consumers throughout Guyana to participate responsibly, follow the promotion mechanics, and take advantage of the opportunity to win,” Jones said.

Banks DIH said the initiative continues its tradition of rewarding loyal customers, forming part of its more than 70-year history of producing and distributing locally made beverages, food products and household goods.

Employees of Banks DIH are not eligible to participate, and consumers are advised that terms and conditions apply. The promotion is open to consumers aged 18 and older, who are encouraged to drink responsibly.
