Boy drowns at Six Bridge on Father’s Day

A young boy, believed to be between six and seven years old, drowned on Sunday afternoon at Six Bridge, East Bank Berbice, Region Six.

The incident occurred on Father’s Day, although details surrounding the circumstances that led to the child’s death remain unclear.

Information reaching this publication indicates that several other persons were present at the time.

Efforts were made to rescue him, but he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The identity of the child has not yet been officially released.
