Guyana’s Ashley Khalil is just one victory away from adding another prestigious international title to her growing list of achievements after advancing to the final of the 2026 PanAm Masters Squash Championships in Medellín, Colombia.
Khalil has been in imperious form throughout the tournament, cruising into the championship match without surrendering a single game in four consecutive victories.
The Guyanese standout began her campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over American Nathalie Champlain before producing another flawless performance to defeat Chile’s Natalia Diaz by the same margin in the second round.
Her dominance continued in the quarterfinal stage where she dispatched another American opponent, Grace Birmingham, in straight games. Khalil then booked her place in the final after overwhelming Colombia’s Karina Salti 3-0 in front of the home crowd.
Having swept through the draw with remarkable consistency, Khalil now faces her toughest assignment yet when she takes on tournament top seed Anita Pinto of Chile in today’s final.
The championship encounter is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. local time in Medellín, which corresponds to 1:00 p.m. in Guyana.
