Nandu 237 leads Harpy Eagles to crushing win over West Indies Academy and into Four-Day final

Defending champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles secured a commanding innings-and-21-run victory over the West Indies Academy on Wednesday at the Antigua Recreation Ground in the West Indies Four-Day Championship.

Richie Looknauth led the charge with a standout all-round performance, taking six wickets on the final day to seal the emphatic win after contributing 77 runs earlier in the match.

The foundation was laid by a dominant batting display that lasted more than 160 overs, with Matthew Nandu producing a marathon 237 to anchor the innings as the Harpy Eagles posted 663 all out.

Jonathan Van Lange marked his First-Class debut in style with a maiden century of 133, while the rest of the batting unit offered steady support throughout the innings.

The result extends the Harpy Eagles’ unbeaten run in the competition as they head into the final against the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force, buoyed by strong form and selection options.
