Lusignan Golf Club is entering 2026 with renewed confidence and an ambitious agenda, building on what it describes as a highly successful 2024 and steady progress throughout 2025.
Club President Anasha Ally said continuity in leadership following her re-election has allowed the executive committee to consolidate earlier gains and strengthen the club’s operational and organisational foundation.
“Continuing from a successful 2024 and following my re-election, we focused on building on what we started,” Ally said. “A restructured executive committee saw members placed in new roles, and the results have been very encouraging. The entire committee has performed credibly, as demonstrated by the successful hosting of the Brava Guyana Open and several other tournaments, even with weather challenges at times.”
Looking ahead, the club is preparing for a packed calendar of major events in 2026, including the AmCham Golf Tournament, as well as other national and regional competitions. Club officials expect these events to enhance Lusignan’s profile while offering increased visibility and networking opportunities for corporate partners.
The club has also continued to invest in infrastructure and operations to improve the overall golfing experience. Plans are underway to acquire new grounds equipment to further enhance course quality and maintenance, while additional golf carts have been added to the fleet. Upgrades to the clubhouse include new bathroom facilities, fresh painting and other outdoor improvements.
“These investments directly translate into better playing conditions and an enhanced experience for our members and visitors,” Ally added. “We have also seen encouraging growth in membership and participation, which reflects the positive direction in which the club is heading.”
Ally acknowledged the contribution of existing corporate sponsors, describing their support as critical to the club’s development and the successful staging of major tournaments. She also extended an invitation to Corporate Guyana to partner with the club in the year ahead.
“As we move into 2026, Lusignan Golf Club actively welcomes new corporate sponsors and partners,” Ally stated. “Sponsorship of the club and its events provides meaningful brand exposure, direct engagement with key stakeholders, and an opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of golf in Guyana. We look forward to building mutually beneficial partnerships with Corporate Guyana as we expand our events calendar and continue to enhance our facilities.”
Despite broader national staffing challenges, the club has retained experienced grounds and clubhouse staff, which Ally said remains essential to maintaining standards.
“We could not do this without our hardworking staff. Their commitment and professionalism are fundamental to maintaining the standards of the course and the club,” she said.
As the new year begins, Lusignan Golf Club said it remains committed to development, collaboration and excellence, positioning 2026 as a year of growth and opportunity for members, sponsors and visitors.
