Guyana’s National Mechanism for Reporting and Follow-Up (NMRF) concluded its third and final meeting for 2025 today, marking continued progress in the country’s coordinated human rights reporting and implementation efforts.
The session featured a focused presentation on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), to which Guyana is a State party.
Following the meeting, the Ministry announced preparations to collect data and information from government ministries, agencies, constitutional and statutory bodies, and civil society partners as part of its 2026 reporting agenda.
The MPAG team extended appreciation to NMRF members, noting that their dedication “contributed to the successful completion of Guyana’s 4th Cycle Universal Periodic Review.”
Guyana’s NMRF model is recognised for fostering inclusive participation in human rights reporting and building sustainable institutional capacity across the public sector.
Through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and coordinated follow-up, the initiative continues to ensure that human rights obligations are systematically monitored and implemented.
