Teacher arrested after throwing muddy substance at businessman

Police on the Essequibo Coast have arrested a 38-year-old school teacher following an incident in which she allegedly threw a muddy substance at a businessman inside his office at Hack’s Rice Mill, Vilvoorden, on Monday morning.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 08:19 hrs when the 31-year-old businessman was in his office and the teacher entered, placed a container with a muddy substance inside, and then began throwing the contents at him and around the office area.

A report was made to the Aurora Police Station, where the suspect was subsequently contacted and arrested. The teacher was later placed on $15,000 station bail and is expected to appear in court soon.

Police said several individuals later visited the station, but no other arrests were made, and no additional offences were reported in connection with the incident.
