Police have arrested two men on Wednesday in connection with a violent home invasion in Corriverton, Berbice, that left a woman injured and valuables worth an estimated G$2.7 million stolen.

The suspects, identified as Kevin Padmore, 31, known as “Bulla,” and Cordell Small, 34, called “Mad Dawg,” were detained at about 6 am in coordinated operations led by an Assistant Superintendent. Both men admitted to taking part in the robbery along with an accomplice named “Moses,” who remains at large, police said.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when three masked men entered the home of Richard and Willeina Dhup in Dukestown. Armed with a firearm and sharp objects, the men forced the couple inside, ordered them to lie on the floor, and demanded cash. During the ordeal, Willeina Dhup was stabbed in the back before the suspects escaped with cash, jewellery and electronics.

Police said the victim received treatment at No. 75 Hospital and is recovering. Investigators are continuing efforts to apprehend the third suspect.
