Guyana’s Shadiamond Assanah crowned Miss Caribbean Culture Queen

Guyana has done it again on the regional stage. Twenty-one-year-old Shadiamond Assanah was crowned Miss Caribbean Culture Queen 2025 on Sunday night, securing the country’s third consecutive victory at the prestigious pageant during the Nevis Culturama Festival.
Assanah, a medical rehabilitation student at the University of Guyana, emerged as the top contestant among nine Caribbean nations, racking up a total of 1,213 points — the highest score of the night.
Her performances in the talent, interview, evening gown, swimwear, and Q&A segments captivated the audience and judges alike. In the evening gown segment, she stunned in a blue mermaid-style gown with a dramatic cape reveal. And in swimwear, she turned heads in a custom red and navy two-piece titled “Lavish Lava,” designed by Guyanese fashion icon Randy Madray.
Her win follows the success of Shemina Peroune in 2023 and Shequana Holder in 2024, marking a hat trick for Guyana and reinforcing the country’s dominance in Caribbean pageantry.
Assanah’s pageant journey began at just 11 years old when she won Miss Festival Queen in Melanie Damishana. She later held the title of Miss East Coast Beauty 2023, building her platform around grace, culture, and national pride.
Following her coronation, she expressed her gratitude and reaffirmed her commitment to cultural preservation and youth empowerment calling her win a tribute to her motto: “One People, One Nation, One Destiny.”
Now wearing the Caribbean Culture Queen crown, Assanah is set to embark on a year of regional engagements, proudly representing Guyana and the wider Caribbean.
