Rameez Mohamed’s J-Stang has made a strong impression by recording the fastest time at Round Three of the Wallerfield Championship Final (WCF) in Trinidad.
The Ford Mustang, sponsored by BM Soat/Renegade Race Fuel and powered by a Toyota JZ engine, delivered an impressive quarter-mile run of 8.32 seconds on Sunday. This performance marked it as the fastest car of the day, with only a superbike—ridden by Mark Ramoutar on a Suzuki Hayabusa—achieving a slightly quicker time of 8.216 seconds.
In a media interview, Mohamed reflected on the car’s journey since an incident in Guyana, stating that the hard work had “paid off”. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such a high-quality event in Trinidad and hoped to replicate this level of competition when they host their international event later this year.
Looking ahead, Mohamed assured fans that the J-Stang would be showcased at the upcoming International Event in Guyana, where his team—Wigman and his crew—have signalled their readiness to reclaim their position in the racing scene.
