Police pursuing leads in deadly Buxton shooting

Minister Benn meets relatives of the victims

Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn today visited Patsy’s Shop at Middle Walk, Buxton—the scene of a tragic shooting incident that occurred late last evening, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to six others.
Minister Benn was accompanied by Regional Commander 4C, Assistant Commissioner Pareshram, and his team.
During the visit, the Minister met with relatives and friends of the deceased—15-year-old Leon McFarlene and 38-year-old businessman Mark Anthony Correia—as well as those injured in the attack. He extended his condolences and offered government assistance to those affected by the tragedy.
Minister Benn assured the community that a full and thorough investigation is underway to ensure that justice is served. Law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing leads, including the involvement of a silver-coloured motorcar reportedly used by the suspects.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is urging anyone with information to come forward as the police continue their investigation into this case of alleged murder and attempted murder.
