Banks DIH Limited has launched a new canning line at its Thirst Park facility in Georgetown, boosting its beverage production capacity to 17,000 cans per hour.

The line forms part of the company’s malt plant, which became operational in January 2026, and is designed to strengthen manufacturing operations and meet growing consumer demand.

The facility will package a range of Banks DIH products, including carbonated soft drinks, Banks Beer, GT Beer, Guinness, Shandy and Malta Supreme.

Brew Master Matthew Kendall said the investment reflected the company’s commitment to anticipating shifting consumer preferences and maintaining product quality.

“This new canning line is about staying ahead of where our consumers are heading. It gives us the capacity and the flexibility to deliver more of the brands Guyanese love, in the formats they increasingly prefer, without compromising on the quality and consistency Banks DIH is known for,” he said.

The additional capacity is expected to give the company greater flexibility in responding to market demand while supporting local sales and export opportunities.

Banks DIH said the investment underscored its efforts to modernise production facilities and strengthen its position in the beverage industry, adding that the expanded capacity would help meet evolving consumer needs in Guyana and support growth in regional markets.
