Tonight, Guyana’s Keri Duncan will step onto the Miss Global International stage in Jamaica with one goal,bringing the crown home.
After months of fittings, rehearsals, runway training and interview preparation, the 27-year-old Georgetown native has reached the Grand Coronation.
Duncan, Contestant Number Nine, is competing against 28 delegates for the Miss Global International 2026 title.
The competition opens with a swimwear presentation before the contestants take the stage in national costume. Duncan’s costume, designed by Guyana’s Roberto Teekah, is expected to be one of the major highlights of her appearance.
Then comes the first big test: making the Top 15.
Those who advance will compete in evening gowns before the judges select the final five. The remaining contestants will then face the final question, with the crown waiting at the end.
Duncan enters coronation night after completing orientation, intense rehearsals, official engagements and Friday’s closed-door interview with the judging panel.
Behind her is a full Guyanese team that has spent months preparing for this moment.
National Director Reneé Chester is leading the delegation and serving as Duncan’s makeup artist. Quinton Pearson is her designer and chaperone, while Duncan’s mother, Kiran Johnson, is her hairstylist.
Her preparation also involved runway coach Faydeha King, communication coach Jasmaine Payne and choreographer Joshua Percival. Randy Madray designed her talent costume, while Keisha Edwards of ShaSha Designs and Pearson’s House of Pearson contributed to her wardrobe.
Away from the lights and gowns, Duncan is a physiotherapy student at the University of Guyana and a full-time clerk with the Guyana Police Force.
She entered pageantry to challenge her insecurities and build her confidence. Tonight, that personal journey reaches its biggest stage yet.
