Guyana has made history with a third-place finish at the inaugural FIFAe Continental Championship by Concacaf in Mexico City.

The national eFootball Mobile squad of Christian Harris and Jeremiya Johnson secured bronze on Friday after narrowly losing to Costa Rica in the semifinals.

The opening match ended in a 1–1 draw before Costa Rica won the second encounter 1–0.

Guyana, making its debut at the tournament, was the only English-speaking country to finish among the top three.

Head Coach and Head of Esports Martin Massiah said the achievement should be used to build stronger pathways and raise the standard of esports locally.

Assistant Coach Daniel Idal also travelled with the team for the historic campaign.
