The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) will resume its 2026 calendar this weekend with the Dakota 100 endurance event at the newly revamped South Dakota Circuit.
The endurance-style event is scheduled to begin at noon and will feature both motorcycle and car action.
General admission is free, while paddock access, offering fans a closer view of the machines, teams and riders, is available for $2,000.
The circuit, recently repaved, is expected to test competitors’ consistency, stamina and race craft over the course of the event.
Organisers anticipate a strong turnout, citing renewed interest in local motorsport following the GT Challenge de las Américas earlier this month.
GMR&SC has set a $ 20,000 registration fee for competitors, which includes four paddock entry passes per team.
The event is backed by sponsors including Castrol, GUYOIL, ENet, One Guyana and KFC Guyana.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure viewing spots ahead of the noon start.(GMR&SC)
