Cricket steps up for MV Barima victims with GSL Final proceeds

Guyana Amazon Warriors and ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League announced on Wednesday that all proceeds from ticket sales for the Final will be donated to educational and humanitarian relief efforts for families and individuals affected by the MV Barima tragedy.

GSL Chairman Sir Clive Lloyd said the tragedy had deeply affected everyone in Guyana, as well as players and support staff visiting for the League, adding that prayers continue for those grieving profound loss and for responders whose work continues.

Lloyd said proceeds from the Final would be dedicated to supporting affected families and survivors, and thanked Guyana Amazon Warriors for leading the initiative.

The ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League Final will be held on 1 August at the National Stadium.
