Online Guyana Passport Application and Appointment System launched

The new Online Guyana Passport Application and Appointment System has been launched, marking a significant step forward in the modernisation of passport services and the digital transformation of public service delivery.

According to a release, the new digital platform, accessible at pp.gpf.gov.gy, allows applicants to create an online account, complete passport applications electronically, provide the required information, and schedule passport appointments from the convenience of their homes or offices.

The launch forms part of President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s continued commitment to digitising public services and delivering more efficient, transparent and citizen-centred government services across Guyana.

The release noted that the Online Guyana Passport Application and Appointment System is designed to improve efficiency, reduce long queues and waiting times, minimise administrative delays, and provide a more streamlined and transparent passport application process.

Key features of the system include online account registration and secure user authentication, electronic completion of passport applications, convenient online appointment scheduling, email notifications and appointment confirmations, and reduced processing bottlenecks and administrative delays.

According to Home Affairs Minister Oneidge Walrond, the introduction of the Online Guyana Passport Application and Appointment System marks a major milestone in efforts to modernise government services.

“This platform will provide citizens with a more convenient, efficient and user-friendly way to access passport services while reducing the need for lengthy in-person processes,” she said.

The platform has been designed with security and user experience as key priorities, ensuring that applicants’ personal information is protected while providing a seamless digital experience.

“Citizens are encouraged to access the system through the official portal at pp.gpf.gov.gy, create an account, and follow the required steps to begin the process of scheduling an appointment.

The Guyana Police Force encourages all applicants to familiarise themselves with the new system and take advantage of the enhanced services now available online,” the release concluded.
