Execution was key in Ravens’ downing of Eagles, says Vincente

Ravens Basketball Club won the 60th Independence 3×3 Basketball Tournament on Sunday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, defeating Eagles 21–14 in the final.

Dominic Vincente, a member of the winning side, said execution of their game plan was key to securing victory.

“We executed our game plan, knowing that getting the win was necessary. We took it game by game because in 3×3 anything can happen, but we made sure we maintained our composure throughout every match,” Vincente said.

He added that the triumph marked a return to prominence for the club in local basketball.
“I think having Ravens as the number one team, whether in 3×3 or 5×5, is the best thing for me.

Being the captain, steering the ship in the right direction, and coming back from injury is a plus for the team. We held firm and made sure that we are moving forward,” he said.

Nikkoloi Smith led the Ravens’ scoring with 47 points across six matches.
