The Nitro Kart Klash, sponsored by Jumbo Jet Events, is scheduled for April 19 at the National Stadium, Providence Tarmac, offering more than $10 million in prizes across multiple racing classes.
The event follows last weekend’s GMR&SC Kart Revival and aims to reignite local interest in karting. Jumbo Jet Events has announced free entry for all local drivers and an expanded venue to accommodate increased participation.
The Providence Stadium parking lot will be transformed into a custom-built circuit with a redesigned track, expanded pit capacity, spectator facilities, and family-friendly attractions.
Promoters said the event will feature a wide range of karting categories, including Briggs & Stratton sealed-engine classes for seniors, juniors (13–15), and cadets (6–12), 200cc Honda 4-stroke promoters and light classes, 125cc IAME two-stroke (heavy and light), under-12 60cc IAME, a five-lap time attack open category, and supermoto 250cc bike competitions.
Organisers, in collaboration with the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC), said they aim to deliver a complete motorsport experience while fostering long-term growth and talent development. T
he event has attracted strong corporate support from Banks DIH, AJM Enterprise, KP Jagdeo General Contractors, J’s Supermarket, Sawh’s Construction Inc., Precision Service Center, and Ramchand’s Autobody.
