Nigel London has been appointed president of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF), following the resignation of former president Horace Burrowes.

The move, confirmed at a meeting on Sunday, aims to strengthen governance and focus on the development of the sport.
Clubs nominated new executives in accordance with the federation’s constitution.

The incoming team includes Mark St Claire as General Secretary, William Howard as Treasurer, Carlos Mendonca as Vice President for Discipline, and Linden Dowridge as Vice President for Racing.

The position of Vice President for Finances remains vacant. Other appointments include Walter Grand-Stuart as Racing Secretary, Maria Leung as Assistant Treasurer, and Melanie Collins as Assistant Secretary.

The reshuffle addresses calls for improved governance, financial management, and clearer pathways for athlete development. London’s leadership is expected to unify members and promote grassroots engagement, competitive opportunities, and international representation.
