US-based developers Giovanni and Nicola Mola of Coastal Rim Properties (CRP) have announced plans to build a five-star hotel, more than 1,000 condominium units and a retail village along Guyana’s rapidly expanding Ogle corridor.
The project, branded TAJ Dream Ogle, will be developed in partnership with former NBA star Hakeem Olajuwon, according to a release from TAJ Guyana. It marks CRP’s second major development in the country, following the 218-home TAJ Diamond project.
At the centre of the development will be a five-star hotel and a hospitality training institute aimed at supporting workforce development in Guyana’s expanding tourism sector. The master-planned community will also include a central town square, restaurants, retail boutiques, medical services and landscaped public spaces.
Developers said the project would use U.S.-manufactured, climate-treated structural steel and that the site would be elevated by eight feet to mitigate flooding risks. Advanced drainage and civil engineering systems will be integrated into the design.
Construction is expected to generate thousands of jobs, with approximately 800 permanent positions projected upon completion, supported by training programmes tied to hotel and retail operations.
The developers said the project aims to align with Guyana’s broader economic expansion and sustainable development goals.
