Work moves apace on medical bond in Region 10

Construction is underway on a $204 million medical supplies regional distribution bond in Linden, Region 10, aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony visited the site on Friday and said the facility is expected to be completed within the next few months.
The bond will expand storage capacity for medications and medical supplies, allowing redistribution to all health facilities across the region.

“For the first time, we’re making a standard bond for the region. This will allow us to store more medication and medical supplies in the region. The work is progressing, and we hope that in the next couple of months that we will have that facility up and ready. In the meantime, we have been renting facilities. So once they complete that new regional bond, we’ll be able to move over to our own bond and operate it here,” Dr. Anthony said.
The minister added that the facility would be a major boost to the region.
“I think that would be a significant boost to the region because we want to make sure that we increase the amount of medication that are available to the region,” Dr. Anthony noted.
