Late drama secures Super 16 title for Western Tigers

Western Tigers Football Club dramatically captured the Guyana Football Federation Super 16 Cup on New Year’s Day at the National Training Centre, Providence.

The final produced chance after chance for both sides, with the match seemingly headed for extra time.

However, in the 90th minute, Kevon Woodley pounced on a rebound and calmly slotted the ball into the left corner of the net, breaking the deadlock and stunning Slingerz FC.

Wild celebrations erupted at the final whistle as players and fans alike rejoiced, with Western Tigers crowned the new Super 16 Cup champions.
