Kingston, Chase dominate day two of KFC International School Tournament

The sixth edition of the KFC International School Football Tournament produced another day of thrilling action on Tuesday, highlighted by an astonishing 28–0 victory for Kingston College of Jamaica, a result that proved pivotal in the race for semi-final qualification.
The results suggest that defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation and Kingston College have emerged as the clear frontrunners in Group A, while St Benedict’s College has firmly asserted its dominance in Group B.
Kingston College delivered an attacking masterclass in their emphatic 28–0 win over the Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA) of The Bahamas at the Queen’s College Ground. On the tournament’s opening day, Chase had also overwhelmed ACEA, recording a 24–1 victory.
Chase’s Academic Foundation maintained their perfect record with a commanding 6–0 triumph over West Ruimveldt Secondary at the Ministry of Education Ground. With both Kingston College and Chase dominating their respective matches, they are now favourites to claim the two semi-final places from Group A.
In Group B, St Benedict’s College of Trinidad and Tobago made a strong statement with a 7–2 win over Suriname Technical School at the Queen’s College Ground, while Brazil’s José Vieira de Sales Guerra State School kept their knockout hopes alive with a convincing 4–0 victory over former champions Annai Secondary.
Matches continue today at both the Queen’s College and Ministry of Education grounds from 12:00 hrs.
