Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) brought its 2025 competitive season to a close last Sunday with its Annual Holiday Season Social and Partner Scramble, a festive nine-hole tournament that combined competitive play with end-of-year celebrations.
The social scramble format welcomed club members and their partners and marked the final event on LGC’s 2025 calendar. The course was decorated for Christmas, with players sporting holiday attire before gathering for a well-attended post-round social at the clubhouse.

Carlos Adams and Gavin Todd took top honours, finishing with a gross score of 36, a team handicap of five and the best net score of 31. They were followed by Romel Bhagwandin and Max Persaud (gross 36, team handicap four, net 32) and Kevin Budram and Mahin Harry (gross 35, team handicap three, net 32).
Brian Hackett and Patrick Prashad also featured among the leading teams with a net 33, while Imtiaz Subhan and Ayube Subhan finished on a net 34.
Individual prizes were awarded to Mike Mangal for Nearest to the Pin and Richard Haniff for Longest Drive.
LGC professional Dr. Joaan Deo said the tournament was a fitting conclusion to the season, citing strong participation, competitive play and a festive atmosphere that reflected the club’s spirit of unity and sportsmanship.
Special awards recognising contributions throughout the season were presented to Orson Ferguson (Most Improved Golfer), Patrick Prashad (Most Honest Golfer), Troy Cadogan (Best Dressed Golfer) and Mortimer Wills (Most Enthusiastic New Golfer).

The Lusignan Golf Club Management Committee thanked participants, partners and supporters and said preparations were already under way for the upcoming season.
