
Anand Persaud claimed victory at the PromoTech Guyana Inc. Golf Tournament on Sunday at Lusignan Golf Club, marking back-to-back tournament wins just one week after securing another title.
Persaud led the field with a gross score of 85 and, after applying his 19 handicap, finished with a net 66 to take the overall championship.
Close behind was Satrohan Tiwari, who posted a gross 83 and net 69, earning second place. Joseph Szeplaki finished third with a gross score of 82 and net 71 after factoring in his 12 handicap.
In special categories, Feroze Barkat won Best Gross with an 82, Joaan Deo claimed Ladies Best Net, Mortimer Wills captured Longest Drive, and Patrick Prashad took Nearest to the Pin.
PromoTech Guyana Inc. Country Manager Bala Vinjimoor thanked participants for their support and announced plans to make the tournament an annual event. “Thank you to everyone that came out. It was a good turnout. As I reiterated earlier, we will be making this tournament an annual event,” he said.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Lusignan Golf Club, the tournament combined competitive play with the festive spirit of the season.
