Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight on Wednesday opened its newest outlet at the Royal International Hotel & Mall, marking the Guyanese fast-food chain’s fourth location.
Tourism, Industry and Commerce Minister Susan Rodrigues, who declared the branch open, said the franchise and similar enterprises play an important role in strengthening Guyana’s tourism and hospitality sector. She stressed that small businesses, in particular, are well-positioned to benefit from the industry’s growth.

“The greatest beneficiaries of Guyana’s expanding tourism and hospitality sector are small businesses, and I don’t want that to ever get lost by our locals because there is something in it for every local service provider,” she said.
Rodrigues thanked the company for its continued investment, saying its expansion reflects confidence in the economy. She noted that Guyana is transitioning into a more service-based economy and underscored the need for strong customer-service standards.
“It is important for us as a government and country to have businesses that provide quality customer service,” she said, urging the proprietors to adopt quality-management standards offered by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards.
The company said it remains committed to sourcing 100 percent of its ingredients locally to support farmers and suppliers.
Among those attending the launch were Agriculture Minister within the Ministry, Vikash Ramkissoon; Puran Brothers Director Kishan Puran; Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight Managing Director Chetandra Puran; THAG representative Mitra Ramkumar; and Banks DIH Ltd’s Soniya Forester.
