Regional Police Division #3 has officially unveiled its 2025 Christmas Policing Plan, aimed at strengthening public safety during the holiday season. The plan was presented on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, by Divisional Commander Assistant Commissioner M. Siwnarine at the Division’s Headquarters in Leonora, West Coast Demerara.

The launch brought together members of Community Policing Groups, Station Management Committees, religious representatives, key stakeholders, senior and junior officers, and other ranks.
Commander Siwnarine emphasised that the plan is designed to provide visible and responsive policing for residents during the festive period. “Citizens can expect to see increased foot and mobile patrols, increased traffic engagements, intelligence-led police operations, monitoring of commercial zones, and rapid response to reports,” he said.
The Christmas policing initiative officially began on November 15, 2025, and will run through January 15, 2026, with the aim of deterring crime, ensuring road safety, and maintaining public confidence throughout the holiday season.
