Tiger Bay/Kingston Clean-up paused, to resume at midnight to 5am

The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development is advising residents of Kingston and Tiger Bay that the ongoing bulky waste removal exercise has been temporarily halted for the remainder of the day due to heavy traffic congestion in the area.

To date, cleanup crews have removed 23 truckloads of bulky waste, reflecting steady progress in the operation.

The Ministry says the exercise will resume at midnight and continue until 5 AM, when traffic volumes are expected to be significantly lower.

This shift is aimed at ensuring smoother movement of equipment and more efficient waste removal.

The Ministry extends its appreciation to residents and road users for their patience and cooperation as work continues in support of Government’s commitment to maintaining a cleaner, greener Georgetown.
