
The Women’s Leadership Programme (WLP), an initiative of the 25 Influential Women Leaders Awards (25IWLA), celebrated the graduation of its 2025 cohort on September 19, highlighting the resilience and growth of women leaders making an impact in Guyana and beyond.
Since its launch in 2022, the WLP has graduated 32 women, providing mentorship, strategic tools, and supportive networks to strengthen their leadership presence.
The 2025 graduating class includes:
*Lexann McPhoy- CEO of Lexann’s Nail Creations and CEO of Women’s Haven® Guyana
*Dr. Saska Sertimer- Medical Registrar at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation–Industry Health Centre
*Dr. Shabeena Ramjohn- Dental Surgeon and Doctor at the Cheddi Jagan Dental Centre
*Yvonne Barrow- Founder and Managing Director of InsideOut
WLP co-founders and co-facilitators, Michelle A. Nicholas and Lyndell Danzie-Black, emphasized the programme’s transformative impact on women leaders and the communities they serve.
Guest speaker Faith Ann Butcher, Chief Impact Officer of United Way of Westchester and Putnam, urged graduates to continue their leadership journey with resilience and authenticity.
Applications are now open for the 2026 cohort, which will run from January to September 2026. Interested women leaders have until October 31, 2025, to apply.
