The senior national men’s and women’s squash teams have qualified for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games after a strong performance at the recent Pan American Squash Championships in Brazil.
Although Guyana finished ninth overall, their placement among the top five countries in the CAC region secured them an automatic spot at the Games, set for late July 2026 in Santo Domingo.
They will join fellow qualifiers from the CAC region, including Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, and Barbados, competing against 19 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams. The Guyana Squash Association (GSA) celebrated the achievement as a testament to the hard work and talent of the athletes, highlighting their success in high-quality matches against top regional competitors.
The squad, supported by sponsor ENet, featured players such as Nicolette Fernandes, Alex Arjoon, Kirsten Gomes, Ashley Khalil, Jason-Ray Khalil, Samuel Ince-Carvalhal, and Mary Fung-A-Fat.
