The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has called on registrants who have not yet collected their National Identification Cards to visit the registration office where their transaction was conducted to do so.
The Commission noted that the ID card is the primary and preferred form of identification on Election Day, enabling faster voter processing and reducing wait times at polling stations.
GECOM said it holds uncollected ID cards from various registration activities, including new registrations, name changes, and corrections to personal information. These cards were issued during previous registration cycles, including the recent Claims and Objections exercise conducted in June 2025.
Cards can be collected from the relevant registration offices Monday to Thursday, from 08:00–12:00 hrs and 13:00–16:30 hrs, and on Friday, from 08:00–12:00 hrs and 13:00–15:30 hrs.
Registrants must appear in person to collect their cards, GECOM said.
