The A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) today warned supporters to be mindful of “We Invest in Nationhood” (WIN) party leader Azruddin Mohamed, contending that there is a high likelihood he could join another major political party after the 2025 elections.
Speaking at a press briefing today, People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) Executive Ganesh Mahipaul said that historically, small parties portray themselves as independent but eventually end up being different.
He pointed to the cases of The New Movement’s (TNM) Dr Asha Kissoon, Liberty and Justice Party’s (LJP) Lenox Shuman, and The United Force’s (TUF) Manzoor Nadir, who once campaigned as independent forces to bring about change.
Mahipaul believes that the same is likely to occur with the WIN leader and urged supporters not to gamble with their vote.
“Evidence has shown that very well so, Azruddin Mohamed could go down as an Asha Kissoon, as a Lennox Shuman as a Manzoor Nadir and the people should be very careful as to how they vote.”
