Candidates who sat the 2025 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and wrote up to eight subjects will be eligible for fee refunds starting July 14.
In an advisory issued today, the Ministry of Education announced that candidates from public and private schools, as well as private candidates, are eligible for the exam fee refund for a maximum of eight subjects.
Candidates who received no government subsidy for the 2025 exams will be reimbursed the full fee paid. Those who received subsidies will be reimbursed the difference paid, up to eight subjects.
To collect the refund, parents or candidates must present a valid national identification card, driver’s license, passport, or be identified by a community official such as a school principal or village Toshao.
For parents unable to collect the reimbursement in person, the ministry has made provisions for collection through an authorised representative, with an authorisation letter required.
The Ministry of Education will post the reimbursement schedules for each region on its official Facebook page.
The reimbursement initiative for up to eight subjects was announced by President Dr. Irfaan Ali earlier this month.
