Four stadiums set for completion this year ear

Four stadiums across Guyana are on track to be completed this year as part of a national push to expand and modernise sports infrastructure.

The initiative includes two multi-purpose stadiums and two previously stalled track and field facilities under the former APNU+AFC administration, which have since been revived and advanced toward completion. The fifth facility, an international stadium at Palmyra, is scheduled to open next year.

All five stadiums remain within budget.

Notably, each of the four stadiums set to open this year will be completed at a cost lower than the abandoned $1.6 billion Durban Park project, the Department of Public Information said
