Brian Richards was on Friday committed to stand trial for the 2023 murder of popular entertainer and educator Kirwyn Mars, also known as “Sir Mars”.
His Worship Sunil Scarce made the ruling at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court, ordering Richards to face the charge at the next sitting of the Demerara Assizes.
Mars was fatally wounded on 7 May 2023 at Plantation Providence, East Bank Demerara.
