
Filisha Duke has been appointed Chairwoman of the Women in Energy Guyana Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 term, the organisation announced Thursday.
Duke will lead a newly installed board comprising professionals from across the energy, finance, technology and logistics sectors. The all-woman leadership team is tasked with advancing the organisation’s mandate to promote inclusion, leadership and opportunities for women in Guyana’s growing energy industry.
Dr. Natasha Gaskin-Peters has been named Vice Chairwoman, while Natasha Das takes up the post of Director of External Affairs. Other appointments include Shauna Garraway as Director of Treasury/Finance; Evie Kanhai-Gurchuran as Director of Programmes; Shanette Rayside as Board Secretary; Terrianna Selby as Director of Events & Fundraising; and Omrawattie “Ria” Seelochan as Director of Membership.
In a statement, Women in Energy Guyana described the new board as a “dynamic team of powerhouse women” committed to driving innovation and impact across the sector.
Founded to support and elevate women professionals in the energy industry, the organisation plays an increasingly visible role as Guyana’s oil and gas economy continues to expand.
